Basketball Recap: Martins Ferry Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Martins Ferry can now relate to. They received a blow on Saturday as they fell 60-43 to the Union Local Jets. The contest marked the Purple Riders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Martins Ferry's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Union Local, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Martins Ferry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union Local, they will face off against Minford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union Local knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Minford likes a good challenge.
