Basketball Recap: De Anza's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

De Anza came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Kennedy Eagles by a score of 70-59. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 75-65 back in January.

De Anza had a senior duo take command as Malakai Wise posted 25 points and Davion Godfrey had 16 points. Wise's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

The win got De Anza back to even at 10-10. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

Looking ahead, De Anza will challenge Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in De Anza's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Richmond has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. As for Kennedy, they will face off against Hercules at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hercules has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
