Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Gabby Divita and Anna Groustra Lead Grosse Pointe South to Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Grosse Pointe South walked away with it. They came out on top against the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Norsemen back in October, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Grosse Pointe South was led to victory by Anna Groustra and Gabby DiVita. Groustra had 16 digs and four aces, while DiVita hit 52.9% for 37 kills and 18 digs and two aces. DiVita has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 63 times she's played.

Despite the loss, Grosse Pointe North still got an impressive performance from Meredith Dodenhoff, who had nine digs.

Grosse Pointe South's win bumped their record up to 15-18-2. As for Grosse Pointe North, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-19-5.

Grosse Pointe South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Renaissance on the 7th. Grosse Pointe North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
