Volleyball Recap: Southern Choctaw Takes a Loss

Southern Choctaw suffered their biggest loss since August 21st on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Millry Wildcats. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Millry scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-21.

Southern Choctaw's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Millry, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Southern Choctaw will square off against rival Fruitdale at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Millry is set to face off against their familiar foe McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
