Baseball Recap: Rejoice Christian Takes a Loss

Rejoice Christian easily dispatched Porter last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Rejoice Christian Eagles fell just short of the Holland Hall Dutch by a score of 11-9 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Dutch: they've now lost seven in a row.

Tanner Piazza was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-2. Maverick Guinn also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Rejoice Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Holland Hall, the win (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Rejoice Christian is taking a road trip to take on Barnsdall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holland Hall, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m.
