Volleyball Recap: California Takes a Loss

California lost against El Rancho back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Condors fell just short of the Dons by a score of 3-2.

California wouldn't go down easily and took El Rancho into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 19-25, 23-25, 15-13.

California dropped their record down to 17-15 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for El Rancho, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3-2.

California and El Rancho should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Condors (ranked 281st) will meet La Serna (ranked 675th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, El Rancho will take on Santa Fe at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (191 vs. 657).
