Football Game Preview: Davison Cardinals vs. Clarkston Wolves + How To Watch

The Davison Cardinals will take on the Clarkston Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Davison's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Lapeer, posting a 44-0 win. The Cardinals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Davison can attribute much of their success to Jaxson Dosh, who threw for 177 yards and four TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and Tyanthony Lewis, who gained 82 total yards and a touchdown. That's the most passing touchdowns Dosh has posted since back in September of 2024.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Davison, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Cortez Porter, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Clarkston over Utica Eisenhower in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wolves blew the Eagles out of the water with a 42-0 final score. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Clarkston's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Davison, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-1.

Davison came up short against Clarkston when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 49-40. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
