After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln, Roosevelt was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Ida B. Wells Guardians. The win was some much needed relief for the Roughriders as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Ruby Frish, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted over her last seven contests. Max Bushard was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Roosevelt's record now sits at 4-20. As for Ida B. Wells, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Roosevelt will venture away from home to face off against McDaniel at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mountain Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.35 runs per game on average), something the Roughriders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ida B. Wells, they will face off against Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Guardians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Generals have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
