Aly Chavez looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had over her last six contests.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mia Gomez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Amaya Del Olmo, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Agoura was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Oak Park took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chaminade. Oak Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Julia Katz and Zoe Vanderbok stepped up to the plate in a big way. Katz scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Vanderbok went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Kirthi Paramasivan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Agoura has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Oak Park's loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
