Volleyball Recap: River Falls Despite Big Games from Zoey Fox and Carlee Winkler

After flying high against Frontier on Monday, River came back down to earth. The Pilots fell just short of the Strasburg-Franklin Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, River sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 19-25, 25-16, 19-25, 15-2.

Carlee Winkler and Zoey Fox certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Winkler had ten digs, while Fox had three digs and two blocks.

River's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Strasburg-Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Strasburg-Franklin, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Tuscarawas Central Catholic on the 20th.
