Hillcrest extended their postseason success on Monday against Catawba Ridge. They skirted past the Copperheads 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since September 25th.

Hillcrest wouldn't go down easily and took Catawba Ridge into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 16-25, 25-19, 15-8.

Miko Sawyer paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up 16 kills. Sawyer got some help from Liz Jones and her 43 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Catawba Ridge lost, don't look at Davin Freeman. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and four aces. Freeman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Hillcrest and bumps their season record up to 22-8. As for Catawba Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 22-13-1.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Woodmont on the 29th. Catawba Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
