Volleyball Recap: Sentinel Spartans vs. Hellgate Knights

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Sentinel and Hellgate had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Spartans fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

While Sentinel ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 12 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12.

Hellgate found their leader in sophomore Ellison Hogan, who had 25 digs and three aces. Hogan has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Margaret Bodnar, who had 12 digs.

Sentinel now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Hellgate, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-10.
