Game recap: Norcross does just enough to defeat Mill Creek

Norcross (Ga.) saw its 35-point lead dwindle to eight, but still managed to hang on and defeat Mill Creek (Hoschton, Ga.) 49-41 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Alvin Kamara in the first quarter, the Blue Devils led 35-14 at the half.

Each side put up 14 points during the third quarter, and the fourth quarter began with the margin still at 21.

DeVozea Felton played well for the Hawks. The junior running back caught two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to seven on the year.

Joseph Wilber was the top performer for Norcross. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.



NHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 41-34.

The loss comes after Mill Creek defeated Peachtree Ridge 20-10 last week. The loss snapped Mill Creek's 2-game winning streak.

Mill Creek (3-2) goes up against Meadowcreek in a AAAAAA Region 7 game matchup next week, while Norcross (5-0) locks horns with Habersham Central also in a AAAAAA Region 7 game.
