La Jolla Country Day had to settle for second on Monday, but Kaza Nishiba sure wasn't going down easily. Nishiba wasn't messing around, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The contest was his third straight with at least one stolen base.

Even though Nishiba couldn't lead La Jolla Country Day over Bishop, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Nishiba's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Torreys' three-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Nishiba and the Torreys surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Wednesday's match.
