Basketball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Takes a Loss

Angeline Academy of Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They were dealt a 52-7 defeat at the hands of the Dunedin Falcons. The Archers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

Kaylie Charles was Angeline Academy of Innovation's leading scorer, having posted four points. Zara Hall held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Dunedin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brook-Lynn Griffey led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Griffey has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Trinity Clincy, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Angeline Academy of Innovation's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Dunedin, their record is now 8-9.

Angeline Academy of Innovation wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-18 defeat against Cambridge Christian on the 31st. As for Dunedin, they will take on Anclote at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
