Germantown strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Shorewood Greyhounds. The Warhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Greyhounds, too.

The team relied heavily on Jon Murkowski, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Vinny Inga, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Germantown's win bumped their record up to 23-0. As for Shorewood, they moved to 13-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Germantown will venture away from home to take on Waukesha South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warhawks will need to watch out since the Blackshirts have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Shorewood, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cedarburg at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.54 runs per game on average), something the Greyhounds will no doubt try to take advantage of.
