Football Recap: Pine Bluff Takes a Loss

Pine Bluff had lost six straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it seven. They took a blow against the Robinson Senators, falling 35-0. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Zebras' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Darrick Dunn threw for 28 yards on four of six attempts. Rashawn Reed was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

As for Robinson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 47.1 points this season.

Robinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reece Simpson led the charge by throwing for 102 yards and three TDs. Charles Petty was Simpson's top target, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Pine Bluff didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 32-7 victory against White Hall on the 6th. As for Robinson, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-0 win against Maumelle on the 6th.
