Basketball Recap: Mississinawa Valley Triumphs

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Mississinawa Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past the Twin Valley South Panthers with a 39-33 victory. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but the Blackhawks were the better team in the second half.

Mississinawa Valley has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Twin Valley South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mississinawa Valley will venture away from home to square off against Houston at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Twin Valley South, they will head out to face off against Tri-Village at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Village will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Twin Valley South surely won't give up without a fight.
