There's no place like home for St. Mary, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Shadow Mountain Matadors 11-2 on Friday. The Knights not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 16-3).
St. Mary's got a massive performance out of Giahni Ruiz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Analysa Mejia, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
St. Mary's always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
St. Mary's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-15. As for Shadow Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.
St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-3 loss against Sunnyslope on the 28th. Shadow Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
