Basketball Game Preview: Waynesville Spartans vs. Bellbrook Golden Eagles

Waynesville is 1-9 against Bellbrook since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Waynesville Spartans will head out to face off against the Bellbrook Golden Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Waynesville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

On Tuesday, Waynesville was able to grind out a solid victory over Dixie, taking the game 48-37.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Bellbrook over Oakwood in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Bellbrook was the clear victor by a 65-41 margin over Oakwood. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Golden Eagles had established a 20 point advantage.

Bellbrook's record now sits at 8-4. As for Waynesville, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Waynesville came up short against Bellbrook in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 73-60. Can Waynesville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
