Basketball Recap: Jamari Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Knightdale over Heritage

After flying high against Wake Forest last Tuesday, Knightdale came back down to earth. The Knightdale Knights fell to the Heritage Huskies 55-49. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Knightdale lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jamari Williams, who went 7 for 17 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Green, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Knightdale's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Heritage, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Knightdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-56 victory against Millbrook on the 24th. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-53 loss against Garner on the 18th.
