Softball Game Preview: Tualatin Timberwolves vs. Lake Oswego Lakers

The Tualatin Timberwolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Lake Oswego Lakers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tualatin came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Oregon City. The game marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Oswego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against West Linn, falling 11-1.

Lake Oswego's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Tualatin, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Tualatin hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lake Oswego struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Everything went Tualatin's way against Lake Oswego when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Tualatin made off with a 10-4 victory. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Lakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
