Football Recap: South Side Takes a Loss

If South Side was riding high fresh off their 56-16 takedown of Guy-Perkins last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornet were outmatched by the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves and fell 56-26. The contest marked the Hornet's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

South Side's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cedar Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Side will square off against Rose Bud at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornet will be up against the Ramblers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cedar Ridge, they will be playing at home against Midland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
