Football Recap: Central Fellowship Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Central Fellowship Christian Academy easily dispatched Heritage last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Lancers fell just short of the Windsor Academy Knights by a score of 16-14 on Friday. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Although Central Fellowship Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Barron Hamilton and Terrell Coley, Jr.

A big part of Windsor Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Heath Woodard and his top target Dawson Sims. Woodard threw for 304 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes while Sims picked up 189 receiving yards and one TD. Those 189 receiving yards gave Sims a new career-high.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Windsor Academy, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

Coming up, Central Fellowship Christian Academy will challenge Cherokee Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Windsor Academy, they will square off against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 801 yards in their previous games.
