Baseball Recap: Palo Verde Valley Comes Up Short

Palo Verde Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Pacifica Christian Tritons, falling 8-2.

Palo Verde Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Cano, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Christian Aguilar also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Palo Verde Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Pacifica Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Palo Verde Valley will take on Foothills Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pacifica Christian, they will face off against Valley Center at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
