Baseball Recap: Alamo Heights Comes Up Short

If Alamo Heights was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Caney Creek on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Alamo Heights Mules fell just short of the Johnson Jaguars by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Mules were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cade Ocker was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Blake Bader, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Alamo Heights' loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Johnson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alamo Heights will take on Canyon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Johnson, they will venture away from home to face off against Brandeis at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
