Basketball Recap: Menlo School Takes a Loss

Menlo School saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took an 81-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Casa Roble Rams. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (67), the Knights still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Mason Pearcy, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds for Casa Roble. Benny Ambriz was another key player, going 10 of 14 on his way to 22 points.

Menlo School has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Casa Roble, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Menlo School will host Half Moon Bay at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Menlo School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Casa Roble, they will venture away from home to take on Sutter at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Casa Roble knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Sutter likes a good challenge.
