Hoosier Crossroads recap November 19, 2013

Westfield extended the longest winning streak in Hoosier Crossroads this week by beating Fort Wayne Snider, 36-7. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.

Avon was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Orioles came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.

Westfield's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nick Ferrer threw for 281 and 4 touchdowns and Ben Lotfalion had 136 yards receiving. On the ground Elvin Caldwell chipped in 128 yards. Milo Beam helped Westfield's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 63 yards.

He went 20-28 with 1 interception.

Caldwell was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 128 yards on 22 carries as Jake Gilbert's team bested the Panthers.

Accruing a total of 18 touchdowns this year, Connor Christiansen has thrown for 1,865 yards with 5 interceptions.

Devin Reece of the the Shamrocks' is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 81 receiving yards in this week's game against Concord to get there. So far this year, he has acheived 64 catches for 919 yards.

Westfield took down Fort Wayne Snider 36-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ferrer during the win.
