River Ridge can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past the Woodstock Wolverines 5-1. The high-scoring effort was just what River Ridge needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.
They hit Woodstock with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Pope Scurlock (2),
Alli Craig (2), and
Savannah Styron.
River Ridge now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Woodstock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Ridge will take on Creekview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodstock, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Etowah at 5:30 p.m. Woodstock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Etowah is ranked 38th).
