The Wimberley Texans were able to grind out a solid win over the Johnson Jaguars on Tuesday, taking the game 53-44.

Paul Gumbert-Mendoza had another great game (as he tends to do), going 6-for-14 en route to 20 points and five boards. The game was his 19th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Reece Wortham, who posted ten points.

Wimberley's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Johnson, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wimberley will welcome Cuero at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnson, they will take on Hays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
