The team relied heavily on Sawyer Chapman-Mays, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in doubles. Maddix Reese was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Lee County's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Alexander Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
