Football Game Preview: Wabeno/Laona Rebels vs. Lena/Aquinas Titians

Wabeno/Laona is a perfect 4-0 against Lena/Aquinas since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rebels will square off against the Titians at 7:00 p.m. Wabeno/Laona will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Wabeno/Laona is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Valley Christian 28-14.

Cooper Albrecht continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 126 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 190 yards and one TD. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.

Wabeno/Laona didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Reegan Roy and Boone Vanooyen.

Meanwhile, Lena/Aquinas faced Athens in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Titians came out on top against the Bluejays by a score of 14-6. The 14-point effort marked the Titians' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Lena/Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Wabeno/Laona, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 10-0.

Wabeno/Laona beat Lena/Aquinas 20-8 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
