Football Game Preview: Fairview Warriors vs. Triway Titans

Two dominant signal callers in Burke Lowry and Luke Starr are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Fairview Warriors will square off against the Triway Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fairview comes in on seven and Triway on six.

Fairview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 51-41 victory over Fredericktown.

Fairview had a senior duo take command as Savijan Harris picked up 89 receiving yards and two TDs and Will Allen picked up 72 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Harris showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 61 yards. Fairview also got help from Rayden Frase, who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Triway beat Orrville 27-21 last Friday. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Red Riders are ranked 225th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Triway's win came down to the chemistry between Grayson Smith and his top target Bruin Flinner. Smith rushed for 68 yards while Flinner picked up 91 receiving yards and one score. An impressive showing, but Flinner really ramped things up playing D: he forced one fumble and made nine total tackles.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Triway's defense and their six sacks. Wilson James was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 himself.

Fairview's record is now 9-2. As for Triway, their record now sits at 9-1.

We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Fairview has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 436 total yards per game. However, it's not like Triway struggles in that department as they've been averaging 351.2 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
