Softball Recap: Marbury Bulldogs vs. Elmore County Panthers

After flying high against Billingsley last Thursday, Marbury came back down to earth. The Marbury Bulldogs fell 7-4 to the Elmore County Panthers on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Marbury saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Hays, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Sara Roeten also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Marbury now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Elmore County, their record now sits at 4-2.

Coming up, Marbury will venture away from home to challenge Chilton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elmore County, they will be playing at home against Alabama Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
