The East Mountain Timberwolves will face off against the St. Michael's Horsemen at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
St. Michael's will be up against a hot East Mountain squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. East Mountain blew past Santa Fe Indian 12-4 on Saturday. Considering the Timberwolves have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Aidan Madrid made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because East Mountain is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise. Madrid was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, East Mountain let Dalton Springall and Charles Birdwell run wild. Springall scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Birdwell scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Birdwell is becoming a predictor of East Mountain's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Rylen Radosevich was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
East Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Michael's, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Sandia Prep get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Tuesday.
Aidan Cedillo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Santiago Martinez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
St. Michael's pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average this season. As for East Mountain, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
