Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Academy Warriors vs. New Covenant School Cavaliers

The Temple Christian Academy Warriors had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.4 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Thursday. They strolled past New Covenant School with points to spare, taking the game 62-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Temple Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Jeramy Trangmar was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Eli Holbrook, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Temple Christian Academy pushed their record up to 20-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for New Covenant School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Temple Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Greenville Classical Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Warriors are ranked 105th). New Covenant School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
