It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Ignatius College Preparatory can now relate to. They came up short against the Saint Francis Lancers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

While St. Ignatius College Preparatory was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-17.

Despite the loss, St. Ignatius College Preparatory still got an impressive performance from Valerie Chu, who had 18 assists and one block. Chu has been hot, having posted 18 or more assists the last five times she's played. Megan Low also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for Saint Francis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-10.

Looking ahead, St. Ignatius College Preparatory will take on Branson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saint Francis, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Archbishop Mitty on the 8th.
