Basketball Recap: Arleta Takes a Loss

Arleta suffered their biggest defeat since December 26, 2024 on Wednesday. They were beaten by the La Salle Lancers 60-19. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-5.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead La Salle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Casey Higgins, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Higgins is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played. Aislin Tamez Torres was another key player, putting up nine points.

Arleta's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for La Salle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Arleta will be taking part in a tournament against Heritage Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for La Salle, they will take on El Dorado in a tournament on Friday.
