Baseball Recap: Dowagiac Comes Up Short

Dowagiac managed to slip by Berrien Springs the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chieftains lost 9-2 to the Shamrocks on Tuesday.

Dowagiac saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Freeman, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double was Freeman's first of the season.

Dowagiac's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Berrien Springs, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11-1.

Coming up, Dowagiac will venture away from home to take on Watervliet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berrien Springs, they will challenge Wayland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
