Softball Recap: Glendale Wins Going Away Against Copper Canyon

Glendale barely beat Copper Canyon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Aztecs with a sharp 20-4 victory on Tuesday. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Ariana Camacho was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anabel Arriaga, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Glendale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .909. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Glendale back to even at 10-10. As for Copper Canyon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Glendale will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Aztecs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
