Softball Recap: Vienna Comes Up Short

Vienna managed to slip by Harrisburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Vienna lost 17-6 to Harrisburg on Saturday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Ayva Rush and Casey Norris did some serious damage despite the final result: Rush scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Norris went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was Norris' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikala Schultz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Vienna's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Harrisburg, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vienna will head out to square off against Hardin County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrisburg, they will venture away from home to challenge Pope County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
