Soccer Recap: Springfield Southeast Takes a Loss

Springfield Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Limestone Rockets. While losing is never fun, Springfield Southeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 428th, while Limestone are ranked 151st).

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-19-2. As for Limestone, they pushed their record up to 13-5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Springfield Southeast will face off against O'Fallon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Limestone, they will take on Bloomington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
