Football Recap: Corvian Community Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 31 points the game before, Corvian Community was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell 14-9 to the Butler Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 22nd).

Tyson Douglas-Brown threw for 116 yards and one touchdown. Kelvin Stinson was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards.

DeMaurion Thomas-Wright went supernova For Butler., rushing for 116 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 34 receiving yards.

Corvian Community's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Butler, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Corvian Community will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Mecklenburg at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Butler, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-14 loss against Irmo on the 5th.
