Softball Recap: Azle Takes a Loss

Azle lost to Aledo back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets lost 12-1 to the Bearcats. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Azle's loss dropped their record down to 8-17-1. As for Aledo, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Azle will welcome Abilene at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Aledo, they will be playing at home against Fort Worth Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bearcats 2.8, the Falcons 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
