Football Game Preview: Bunnell Bulldogs vs. Wilton Warriors + How To Watch

The Bunnell Bulldogs will head out to take on the Wilton Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bunnell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-6 win over Fitch. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matchups in a row.

A big part of Bunnell's win came down to the chemistry between Jake Garrigan and his top target Keyshon Zimmerman. Garrigan threw for 118 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes while Zimmerman picked up 31 receiving yards and one score.

Bunnell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 332 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 180 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Bunnell, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Rody Ricketts, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Wilton against Torrington on Wednesday as the team secured a 48-6 victory. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 42 points.

Bunnell's record is now 9-2. As for Wilton, their record now sits at 10-1.

Bunnell was dealt a bruising 45-14 loss at the hands of Wilton in their previous matchup back in October of 2019. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Drew Phillips (who rushed for 100 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
