Football Recap: Union Parish Comes Up Short

Union Parish fell victim to Alexandria and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 57-0 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. The Farmers lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 41-12 score last time.

Alexandria got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Fontenot out in front who picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Fontenot really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards. Kason Williams also helped with two scores in total.

Union Parish's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alexandria, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Union Parish wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 34-19 defeat against Airline on the 19th. As for Alexandria, they have also already played their next game, a 27-21 victory against Destrehan on the 19th.
