Soccer Game Preview: Milan vs. Lakeland Preparatory

The Milan Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Lakeland Preparatory Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Milan is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Madison on Thursday. They lost 6-1 to the Mustangs. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Milan struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Lakeland Preparatory had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against Sheffield on Thursday as they made off with a 6-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Lakeland Preparatory, who have now won 12 games by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Sheffield with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Adam Atkinson (3), Eli Coleman (2), and Luke Baldridge.

The win was the 11th in a row for Lakeland Preparatory, bringing their record up to 18-2-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those 11 matchups. As for Milan, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5-1.
