Flag Football Recap: First Preparatory Christian Academy Takes a Loss

First Preparatory Christian Academy fell victim to Valdosta and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 28-0. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Wildcats are ranked 104th).

Zikyriah N. Williams had an outrageously good game for Valdosta as she threw for 302 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 31 yards and one score. The Wildcats also got help from Kimora N. Griffin, who showed off her sure hands for 84 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for First Preparatory Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Valdosta, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Coming up, First Preparatory Christian Academy will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Long County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valdosta, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-7 victory against Georgia Christian on the 30th.
