Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Trinity Lutheran's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Trinity Lutheran's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Greensburg Pirates, falling 3-0. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Trinity Lutheran was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.

Emmy Price paced Trinity Lutheran's offense, picking up 13 kills. Price got some help from Bella Wehmiller and her 26 assists.

Kirkley Lowe was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six contests.

Trinity Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Greensburg, the win (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Looking ahead, Trinity Lutheran will face off against Batesville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greensburg, they will square off against Oldenburg Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
