Volleyball Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Takes a Loss

Coral Academy of Science - Reno was the 3-1 winner over Oasis Academy when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Bighorns on Friday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Oasis Academy work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 26-24, 25-20.

Carla Garcia paced Coral Academy of Science - Reno's offense, picking up four kills. Garcia got some help from Lexi Johnson and her nine assists. Garcia was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Oasis Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-17.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Battle Mountain on the 31st. Oasis Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
